UN ambassador warns: Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians deported by Russia – “including children”

According to the United States, Russia has deported hundreds of thousands of people to some remote areas since its invasion of Ukraine. “We have evidence that the Russians expelled hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian citizens, including children,” US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield told NPR radio.

“They are interrogated, they are detained, they are forcibly deported. Some are sent to the farthest reaches of eastern Russia near the North Korean border.”, according to Thomas Greenfield. This is Moscow’s attempt to suppress Ukrainian resistance. She demands that the UN and human rights organizations be given access to the camps in which the people are housed.
