TV surprise of the year: Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg takes over the Jauch show

The broadcaster RTL has surprisingly announced that former Federal Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg will moderate this year’s annual review “People, Pictures, Emotions” – together with Thomas Gottschalk. Together they are the successors of Günther Jauch.

December is just around the corner – and with it numerous annual reviews on television, in which the most important and emotional events of the year are summarized. For the RTL format “People, Pictures, Emotions”, the broadcaster has brought two new moderators on board: Thomas Gottschalk and Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg.

Together they are succeeding “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” host Günther Jauch, who was in front of the camera for a total of 26 years for the annual review. In “People, Pictures, Emotions”, the new moderators look back together on stories that shaped 2022. The show runs on Sunday, December 11th at 8:15 p.m. on RTL.
