The Connected We Stand Festival returns for the 3rd year in Thessaloniki, on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Live concerts, sports events, dj sets, dance, theater performances, experiential workshops and many more actions are going to take place at the Alexander the Great Statue in Nea Paralia for 24 hours.
The aim of the Festival is to bring together cultural, environmental and social actions with the participation of more than 80 Civil Society organizations.
The Festival is organized by CONNECT YOUR CITY, H.A.N.TH., Infinity Greece, AddArt, Fabric Republic, AMKE IASIS, ESN Thessaloniki, Actionaid Hellas, EPSYKA.
Visitors to the Festival will have the opportunity to attend actions based on the following axes:
Arts & culture
Volunteering & solidarity
Sports & quality of life
Environment & sustainable development.
Concerts, pop up activities, children’s workshops, sports activities, adult workshops, performer’s corner, up-cycling point, interactive talks, dance events, theater performances, active citizens award ceremony, a disruptive art exhibition and many famous artists will meet from the 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Statue of Alexander the Great in Nea Paralia, Thessaloniki.
This year the Connected We Stand stage hosts favorite artists such as Claydee, ANASTASIA, ASPA and Konstantinos Frantzis and dynamic DJ sets by Petros Triantafillou, COYOT and Frau Dimitra.
At the same time, throughout the day on Saturday, September 24, at the Statue of Alexander the Great, a collection of toys and other items such as school and clothing items will be held with the aim of supporting children victims of war in collaboration with Together We Can and the Embassy of Ukraine.
The Festival is under the patronage of the National Olympic Academy and the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
Entrance to the festival site is free.
A few words about the Connected We Stand Festival
Connected We Stand is a multi-thematic Volunteering Festival focused on the new generation. It has already been held for two years with great success, in 2019 gathering more than 100,000 visitors and in 2020 through the digital mobile application CONNECT YOUR CITY with the participation of 40,000 people, the implementation of 10,000 voluntary actions and more than 4,500 volunteers. The purpose of the Festival is to raise awareness of issues of solidarity and active participation of young people, to change attitudes through simple everyday actions and to unite people regardless of gender, origin and age.
