Until Saturday, September 24, the exhibition titled “Seascapes. From the Collection of the Bank of Greece”which is hosted at the Cyclades Gallery in Ermoupoli, Syros.
The extension was deemed necessary due to the large attendance of the public, who can for two more weeks admire 51 sea paintings by important Greek painters from the mid-19th century to the modern era.

The exhibition, organized by the Center for Culture, Research and Documentation of the Bank of Greece and the Municipality of Syros-Ermoupolis, includes works by great 19th-century oceanographers, such as Ioannis Altamouras, Konstantinos Volanakis and Emilios Prosalenis, as well as artists from 20th century onwards, such as Sofia Lazaridou, Pericles Byzantios, Dimitrios Galanis, Konstantinos Maleas, Michael Axelos, Alexandros Korogiannakis, Pari Prekas, Thanasis Makris and Sotiris Sorogas.
