H Samsung continues with its Beta versions One UI 5specifically version 4, which is now rolling out as an over-the-air update for members of the Galaxy S22 family in the US who are enrolled in the beta program.
The ZVJ2 build is 1.5 GB in size and brings with it the October 2022 security patch level, along with several bug fixes. Known issues that still exist are a black screen on the screen when using DeX and the phone screen is locked, or a force close when selecting a filter from the lock screen menu during the wallpaper multi-pack setting. Also, you get an Unable to open file message when someone sends you something through QuickShare and you try to open it from the popup window.
Multi-user functionality was added in the first One UI 5 beta and unfortunately removed in the fourth beta. It is not known if this is a permanent condition or if it will be reinstated in the future.
Fixes are related to crashes when entering app folders, changing wallpaper, using S Pen Air Command. Also, the object eraser doesn’t work, the vibration doesn’t work for the Home gesture, and there are issues with frame breaking when switching from a widget to the home screen. Additionally, an issue that caused the phone to beep and vibrate constantly has been fixed, as has an issue that used sleep mode automatically, and adding and removing favorites in Gallery should be smoother.
This update will likely reach the other countries where the One UI 5 beta program is available within the next few days.
