Rosaviatsia extended the ban on flights to airports in the south and central part of the country until September 16


The regime of the closed sky in the south and in the central part of Russia was extended for another week. This was reported by the press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency.

“Temporary flight restrictions at 11 Russian airports have been extended until September 16, 2022, 03:45 Moscow time,” the website says.

The air hubs of the following cities fell under the restrictions: Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol and Elista. Companies are recommended to organize the transportation of passengers using the airports of Sochi, Volgograd, Mineralnye Vody, Stavropol and Moscow.

Air traffic in Russia was limited on February 24, 2022. Then the ban was repeatedly extended.
