Documentary film “Zero. Glitter and poverty of glamor” will be shown by the Muz-TV channel on September 10, 2022. The picture will become part of the series of documentary premieres “Zero”, which started on Muz-TV this fall. As InterMedia was informed in the press service of the TV channel, the new episode will be dedicated to the fashion epidemic of glamor that has swept the whole country.

– Rhinestones, feathers, tight tops, carrot tan, brand mania – who set the outrageous trends of that time? the filmmakers ask. – What did the stars have to sacrifice to stay in the spotlight?

Ksenia Sobchak, Lera Kudryavtseva, Sergey Zverev, Timati and others recalled the vices of the glamorous zero in an exclusive interview with Muz-TV.

“If you had a Vertu phone, most likely you needed personal protection, because if you just walk down the street with it, then after some time it will be taken away from you,” Timati said.

– There was everything: denim, and eyelets, and sequins, rhinestones and feathers – which was just not there. I was the embodiment of fashion at that time in full, – recalls Sergey Zverev.

The stars of the 2000s were literally obsessed with logos and brands. According to experts, no one really understood fashion at that time – this was not required. The main thing is to attend social events in a Dolce & Gabbana T-shirt and with a Chanel handbag.

“As soon as I accumulated something, everything immediately went to clothes,” Ksenia Sobchak admits. – I remember there were incredible Dolce & Gabbana jeans, all in some kind of rhinestones and pins, they cost crazy money, two and a half thousand dollars. The amount was absolutely fantastic then. Only twelve of them came to Moscow, I postponed it to the saleswomen on Kutuzovsky: “Don’t give this pair away, I’ll save up, I’ll bring everything.”

In 2008, Ksenia Sobchak became the main character of the reality show “Blonde in Chocolate” on Muz-TV. The cameramen filmed every step of the TV presenter – how she is preparing for a secular exit, demonstrating a lifestyle that is inaccessible to all other Russians:

– Sobchak is cool, at that time she was generally a trendsetter, – says Alena Vodonaeva. Everyone looked up to her. We looked up to her as a fashion god because she really dressed really well. Now we all think that it was some kind of absurdity, but at that time it was cool!

From Ksenia Sobchak at that time, many secular girls got it. For example, phrases flew to Lera Kudryavtseva: “She is a sucker!”. Years later, Lera commented on her attitude to such statements by Xenia.

– We had different stages with her, – said Lera Kudryavtseva. – At first she annoyed me, then infuriated me, and then I realized: yes, she is a good girl, in fact, smart and punchy!

In the film, Muz-TV journalists will consider another trend of the 2000s – dubious cosmetic procedures and wild plastic surgeries. Many stars, bringing themselves to perfection, risked their lives, but still continued to go under the knife. Lera Kudryavtseva also succumbed to fashion, enlarged her breasts, and as a result, many years later, she ended up in a hospital bed.

“The implant was torn in one of my breasts, it spread out, and I didn’t even know about it,” says Lera Kudryavtseva. – Although all the surgeons shout that it cannot spread. It cannot spread in a year, but I had it for a long time. He migrated and turned into just such a mess that they plucked out of my muscles. Now I’m thinking: what the hell did I do? Well, why? That’s such stupidity.

Do not think about the deplorable consequences and lovers of tanning. Dark skin in the noughties was considered an attribute of success. Olga Buzova, Lera Kudryavtseva, Ksenia Sobchak, Masha Malinovskaya, “Brilliant”, “Factory” in the 2000s did not take care of their skin and sunbathed almost to a crispy crust. The filmmakers will tell you what Viktor Rybin and Natalya Senchukova regret after suffering from cancer, and which of the stars had their own solarium at home.

It was in the noughties that gloss flourished in Russia. For many popular stars today, attending such events has become a happy ticket to the world of show business. So, for example, in 2002, in the competition of the magazine Yes! “Person of the Year” was attended by the star of the first “Factory” – Sasha Savelyeva. In the hall, she was supported by a classmate at the Gnessin School, at that time unknown to anyone Dima Bilan. It was at that party that Dima met his future first producer Yuri Aizenshpis, who became interested in him and gave him a phone number.

– I said: hello, nice to meet you! I am a professional performer, I study at Gnesinka. I will finish soon, if something can be done, let’s do something. This acquaintance was key, – Dima Bilan recalls.

The broadcast starts at 16.00.
