Putin instructed to transfer the property of the Sakhalin-1 project to the ownership of Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the application of special economic measures in the fuel and energy sector (FEC) under the Sakhalin-1 project in connection with the unfriendly actions of some countries. The document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

According to the decree, all property of the consortium leading the Sakhalin-1 project is transferred to federal ownership. Russia is creating a new operator that will receive the rights and obligations of Exxon Neftegas. The Cabinet of Ministers appoints the Sakhalinmorneftegaz-shelf company as the manager of the new project operator.

Foreign participants of Sakhalin-1 are given a month to decide whether they will re-register their share. In case of refusal, their parts, minus the damage, will be resold to a Russian person, and the funds will be transferred to a special account.

On October 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree transferring the Zaporizhzhya NPP to federal ownership.
