Today, September 8, rescuers of the Altai search and rescue team of the Russian Emergencies Ministry managed to find the body of a Novokuznetsk resident who fell into the Katun River.

Let us recall that earlier it was reported that on September 6, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Altai received a message that a resident of Novokuznetsk, born in 1979, was missing in the area of ​​the Cordon “Kur-Kechu” on the territory of the Kupchegensky rural settlement. According to eyewitnesses, the man slipped on a rock and fell into the Katun.

For three days, firefighters and rescuers on boats searched for a man in the waters of the Katun River, inspected the coastline.

Today, the body of the deceased was found at the confluence of the Ailagush and Katun rivers, six kilometers from the crash site. Rescuers pulled the body out of the water, took it to Ongudai and handed it over to law enforcement officers. During the search, 20 kilometers of the Katun water area were surveyed. The work involved firefighters, rescuers, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs – a total of nine people, five pieces of equipment, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Altai reports.
