The performance “Four eyes” by Yiannis Tsiros, the Greek play that won the Karolos Koun Drama Award in 2010, will be presented from October 15 at the Ilisia-Volanakis theater, directed by Giorgos Pyrpasopoulos [Παπαδιαμαντοπούλου 4, Ιλίσια].

“The law is equal for all. But people are not equal. Socially weak offenders are more guilty. I have seen them in court begging for some leniency, using their own weakness as a mitigating factor. Especially if someone is charged with resisting the Authority, the law exhausts its last letter on him. The ant is judged like an elephant. And he is punished exemplary. The weak offenders are eliminated, the strong survive. And their ideal breeding ground is indifferent society. The “powerful” never resist the Principles, their follies are relatively well-known, even when they themselves don’t know it, and finally their cynicism makes them one-dimensional. They survive the law, but they lack character. On the contrary, the offenses of the “weak”, those poor devils who are dragged daily in handcuffs to the courts, overflow with dramatic details. In addition, their inability to escape the grip of the law exposes another side to the light.
