A boy and a singing crocodile become friends in New York

A new trailer for the musical film “Crocodile Lyle” (Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile) was released on September 7, 2022 by Sony Pictures.

InterMedia recalls that, according to the plot of a fairy tale, the Primm family (Constance Wu, Scoot McNairy and Winslow Fegley) moves to New York and soon discovers an unusual tenant in the attic of their house. Crocodile Lyle (voiced by Canadian singer Shawn Mendes) loves to sing, take a bath, eat caviar, and is affectionate and friendly as a kitten, as well as smart and talented. Although the Primms quickly get used to the unusual neighbor, and for the boy Josh (Fegley) he becomes the best friend, there are also dissatisfied ones, for example, the evil neighbor Mr. Grumpy (Brett Gelman). Together with Lyle’s former owner Hector P. Valenti (Javier Bardem), Josh sets out to prove that the big singing crocodile is healthy and safe.

The soundtrack for the film by Josh Gordon and Will Speck was written by The Greatest Showman writers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and performed by Shawn Mendes, Constance Wu and Javier Bardem.

Crocodile Lyle will be released worldwide on October 7th.
